Lucy Chamberlain gives us her key growing tips for fruit, vegetables and herbs…
3rd October 2024 / 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
How do you get the very best yield from your tomato plants? Which new potatoes
taste the best? What are the perfect seeds to sow for summerlong salads? What key
dates are there for sowing carrots? How many strawberry plants do you need to be
self-sufficient? Why do home-grown sweetcorn, peas and courgettes taste so
amazing? Is broccoli easy to grow? Can you grow your own pesto?
Let Lucy share her advice for gaining the very best harvests from your plot, from her
25 years of experience working on a smallholding, allotment and looking after a
walled kitchen garden. During this time she’s honed her fruit and vegetable growing
skills and will pass this knowledge on to you. By the end of the day you’ll understand
exactly what crops need to grow well. There will also be a goodie bag to take home
with you on the day.
There will also be comprehensive handouts, plus a goodie bag to take home with you on the day.
Coffee/tea and a light lunch and drinks are included.
