Tree Planting
Local charity, The Sicon Foundation, has kindly donated 250 trees to Holly which were planted last year here in the meadow at Far From The Madding Crowd. We are delighted that they have also agreed to donate a tree for every ticket sold and have been able to plant a further 120 trees this year due to all the lovely people that came along to a workshop last year . They are making Suffolk a much greener place one tree at a time
“The Sicon Foundation is a newly formed charity based in Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk, we believe that every person can contribute to the environment in a positive way. Our goal is to have a positive impact on our planet by bringing communities together to take part in environmental projects, mainly planting trees. By joining with us on a project, no matter how big or small, you are making a valuable difference to our environment. Currently, we are working exclusively in Suffolk on projects which range from as big as a 2 hectare plot to as small as planting 3 trees. We look for projects that are creating lasting, positive change, big or small and will benefit the public and community. We are delighted to be working with Holly as she works on rewilding her beautiful patch of Suffolk countryside.”
