The Stand Up For Suffolk Fund is a giving circle that was created in 2022 by a group of friends in South West Suffolk. It was set up to give people an opportunity to learn about the hidden needs in their local area and to contribute to charity in a way that suited them. The Stand Up For Suffolk Fund’s aim is to build a community of people in their 30s and 40s who want to make a difference in the county they live in and love, but lack time and resources to make a big impact on their own. Members of the fund subscribe to pledging small donations twice a year, as well as the opportunity to visit charities. Then collectively we vote on a theme, and in partnership with the Suffolk Community Foundation, allocate funds to charities within this theme. In addition to the donations and voting, SUFS host two events a year to raise additional money, showcase charities for people to hear from and bring people together to unite around our cause.
